One of the five primary resources needed to grow in power, Food is harvested from constructed Farms in the city or found in randomly located Farms on the World Map. As with all primary resources, Food can be acquired through a successful attack on an enemy city and can also be captured by enemies attacking your own city. Food is also needed to train units from a barracks, or heal them after they are wounded and hospitalized and to build traps from a wall. When your upkeep is greater than your income the Food icon will flash red.

Farm[]

A Farm can only be constructed outside the city walls.   The food production rate can be increased as much as 200%+ through hero skill points applied to research (Economics/Food Production points) as well as through Hero equipment and embedded gems.

Farm[]

Farms (Food tiles) are located in the world view. These can appear as levels 1 through 6. Each level has a set amount of Food that it spawns with. Once all the Food is collected from a Farm, the Farm disappears and another resource is spawned somewhere on the world map.  For every 4 food tiles cleaned up, two food tiles and two other resource tiles at the same level or higher will spawn closer to the taker's empire, so one should pro-actively harvest food tiles in one's neighborhood.   It is also possible to receive Crafting Materials (Only Hide, Parchment, or String) from collecting at a Farm.
