The Altar allows a player to execute an enemy Hero. Once a hero has been executed, the altar provides temporary boosts to attack power, defense power, troop health, and march speed. A level 15 prison is required to construct an altar. Altar boosts last for 24 hours and are cumulative, similar to VIP boosts. So, executing 2 heroes earns 48 hours of boost... 3 heroes earns 72 hours of boost, etc.
Upgrading the Altar increases the buffs gained for sacrificing an enemy hero, and increases the power gained for the overall city.
